Alma Peguero is a Dominican visual artists who received her BFA from Parsons the New School for Design, NYC, and is currently a 2020 MFA candidate in Studio Practice at University at Buffalo. Peguero’s work explores the relationship between ontology and math. She creates drawings, printmaking, and paintings based on geometrical and mathematical systems. Her purpose is to embrace logical methods of working while inquiring fundamentals of being. Currently preparing her thesis show Pretty Old Energy. Taking place on May 1st in the non-profit venue Galleria El Museo in Buffalo. Her work is directed to an audience interested in contemplation, self-knowledge, and mind evolving processes.
